Coleen Garcia is now a mom of two.
The actress announced that she and her husband, Billy Crawford, welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Austin, on Aug. 17.
On Instagram, Garcia shared photos along with a detailed account of what she called “the experience of a lifetime.”
The couple had planned for another water birth, this time at St. Luke’s Medical Center. But things took an unexpected turn when Garcia arrived at the hospital already in active labor.
Despite being only 3 centimeters dilated with contractions that felt manageable, the baby came much quicker than anyone expected.
“I stood up from the wheelchair, took a couple of steps toward the bed, then suddenly felt a tiny urge to push… until I felt his head coming out,” Garcia wrote. Her mother ended up catching Austin as he slipped out “in just two quick, silent, and surprisingly painless pushes.”
The actress joked that everyone in the room was “completely shookt,” while she could only laugh and say, “Well… that happened.”
Reflecting on the birth, Garcia said it was a stark contrast to her first delivery, adding that both experiences were equally special.
