The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta reported that no Filipinos are currently affected by the ongoing protests in Indonesia.
In a statement released on Sunday, August 31, the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta and the Philippine Consulate General in Manado confirmed that they have not received any reports of Filipinos affected by the protests.
“Both Posts remain in close coordination with Filipino community leaders and continue to monitor developments on the ground,” the statement reads.
The Embassy and Consulate also advised the Filipino community to exercise caution, avoid protest areas, and stay informed through the Posts’ respective Facebook pages and Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) numbers:
