Cebu-based AppleOne Group is positioning itself as a key partner in the economic transformation of the Visayas and Mindanao (VisMin) regions. The company is developing projects in hospitality, healthcare, and energy to elevate lifestyles and bring global standards to the South.
“We have always believed in the strength and potential of VisMin,” said Ray Go Manigsaca, AppleOne Group’s president and chief executive. “By investing in world-class hospitality, healthcare, and energy, we are ensuring that growth in the region is inclusive, future-ready, and value-creating not only for our company but for the communities we serve.”
As a prime destination for leisure and business travel, Cebu remains a central hub for AppleOne. The company is set to open the Mahi Center in Lapu-Lapu City, featuring office spaces, a boutique mall, and Fairfield by Marriott Cebu Mactan, a global business hotel.
Meanwhile, Diamond Suites and Residences continues to serve travelers in Cebu City.
Expanding its portfolio across VisMin, AppleOne is developing JW Marriott Panglao Island Resort & Spa and JW Marriott Residences Panglao, as well as the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences CDO, which will be the first five-star hotel and branded residence in the city.
“Our focus is on bringing globally recognized brands into high-growth destinations across VisMin, where demand continues to outpace supply,” said Sam Manigsaca, AppleOne Group’s vice president for hospitality.
AppleOne is also addressing a critical need in healthcare through its arm, AppleOne Medical Group (AMG). The company is modernizing and managing hospitals to provide advanced care closer to home. This includes redeveloping VisayasMed Hospital Cebu to feature the new Singapore Cancer Center, modernizing United Shalom Hospital in Tacloban, and operating Brokenshire Medical Center in Davao as a tertiary hospital and training center.
Through its renewable energy arm, Astronergy, AppleOne is developing its first solar farm in Zamboanga del Norte. The project will support the local grid and help advance the country’s transition to clean energy.
Across its projects, AppleOne’s strategy is to partner with “world-class institutions, elevate regional talent, and build with integrity.” By doing so, the company aims to create jobs, boost tourism, and improve access to healthcare and clean energy.
“As VisMin cements its role as a growth center, AppleOne is proud to be a partner in progress and we will ensure that world-class living, care, and opportunity are no longer concentrated in the capital, but shared across down South,” Manigsaca said.
