Shangri-La Plaza will mark National Heroes Day with the Spartan Run Club on Aug. 25, a hands-on running clinic designed to highlight perseverance, discipline, and finding joy in the journey.
The clinic, led by elite obstacle course racer Jeffrey Reginio, aims to boost confidence and improve techniques for runners at all levels. Reginio is a 2023 World OCR 100-meter gold medalist and a 2023 Southeast Asian Games silver medalist.
Organizers said the event underscores running as both the foundation of racing and a metaphor for overcoming life’s challenges. It also offers an opportunity to connect with a diverse running community.
Race day will begin at 5:00 a.m. at the Streetscape area of Shangri-La Plaza with a warm-up, followed by the running clinic until 7:00 a.m. A coffee party will conclude the program, running until 9:00 a.m.
Registration is P100, with limited slots available through the Spartan Race Philippines Facebook page. Updates are posted on Shangri-La Plaza’s official social media accounts at facebook.com/shangrilaplazaofficial and Instagram @shangrilaplazaofficial.
