BAFI and URATEX renew decade-long partnership for arts and sciences

The Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. (BAFI) and URATEX have renewed their partnership for another 10 years, reinforcing their shared mission to promote the arts and sciences to learners of all ages.

“We want to reach as many Filipino communities as possible through innovations that improve lives. BAFI’s engaging programs in music, math, and science make this a natural partnership,” said Uratex president and chief executive officer Natividad Cheng.

Uratex retains naming rights to several of The Mind Museum’s key exhibits, including the Space Shell Planetarium, the Giant Orrery, and Dressed for Space, as well as an upcoming math-themed exhibit in the Technology Gallery.

The renewed collaboration also ventures beyond the museum with URATEX as Supporting Partner for a new traveling exhibition that explores how people, environments, and shared knowledge can shape better communities. The exhibit will tour Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Uratex will also co-sponsor four Mind Rover sorties in Visayas and Mindanao, bringing hands-on science learning to up to 1,000 public school students per trip, and support the 2025 Pinoy Playlist Music Festival, a celebration of Filipino music across genres and generations.

BAFI managing director and curator Maria Isabel Garcia said URATEX is not only a resource partner but also deeply engaged in the foundation’s innovations in science and arts education.

BAFI is a non-profit organization that champions the sciences and the arts through The Mind Museum, the BGC Arts Center, Mind S-Cool, and the BGC Public Art Program.
