Enchanted Kingdom capped its 30th anniversary celebration with Eldar’s Mega Birthday Bash, honoring the theme park’s iconic wizard character on Aug. 2 at the Spaceport Grounds.
The event served as the grand finale to a month-long celebration for Eldar, a homegrown figure who has entertained guests since the park opened in 1995.
Throughout July, visitors joined weekend activities such as searching for missing birthday invitations and hats in preparation for the big day. The park also encouraged donations of toys, clothes and non-perishable goods through “The Birthday Giver” initiative.
The celebration opened with a royal appearance from the Faerie King and Queen, followed by performances from EK talents SMS and Kingsmen, and the original theater production The Enchanted Story of Eldar the Wizard: Volume Two, which showcased the park’s theme zones through music and dance.
Children from Casa dei Bambini Home for Children and Southville Foundation were invited to join the festivities and received proceeds from The Birthday Giver program. Guests also took part in hands-on activities such as coloring, slime making and face painting at Eldar’s Theater.
The day ended with a birthday greeting, candle blowing, a parade and a fireworks display led by Eldar, joined by other EK characters and sponsor mascots.
