GMA Network’s primetime programs Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre, Sanggang Dikit FR, and Beauty Empire led their respective time slots, based on Nielsen TV Audience Measurement data.
From July 25 to Aug. 8, Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre posted an average combined (GMA/GTV) people rating of 12.8 percent in Urban Philippines, ahead of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, which recorded 12.2 percent on A2Z, TV5, and Kapamilya Channel. The fantasy series stars Bianca Umali as Terra, Faith da Silva as Flamarra, Angel Guardian as Deia, Kelvin Miranda as Adamus, and Rhian Ramos as Mitena.
Sanggang Dikit FR, featuring Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado, remained the most-watched program in its time slot. From July 21 to Aug. 8, it averaged 7.9 percent in Total Philippines and 8.6 percent in Urban Philippines on GMA/GTV, topping It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, which scored 5.5 percent and 5.8 percent, respectively, on A2Z, TV5, Kapamilya Channel and Jeepney TV. The series was partly filmed in Italy, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.
Revenge drama Beauty Empire, a co-production of GMA Network, Viu Philippines, and CreaZion Studios, also led its time slot from July 7 to Aug. 7. It averaged 4.1 percent in Total Philippines and 4.6 percent in Urban Philippines on GMA/GTV, higher than competing series Sins of the Father, which posted 2.9 percent and 3.1 percent, respectively. The show, starring Barbie Forteza, Kyline Alcantara, and Ruffa Gutierrez, has been the top series on Viu Philippines for one month.
GMA’s primetime programs continue to perform strongly in nationwide and urban ratings, according to Nielsen TAM.
