Manny Pacquiao’s mother, Mommy Dionisia, 76, revealed she is planning to tie the knot with her longtime partner, Mike Yamson.
In an interview with broadcaster Bernadette Sembrano, the couple confirmed their intention to marry after more than a decade together. “Yes! Oo naman,” Yamson said when asked if they plan to wed.
Mommy Dionisia added, “May plano naman, e. Mayroon na ring wedding ring.”
She shared that Yamson promised her that only death would separate them. “Sinabi niya sa akin, ‘Patunayan ko sa ’yo, kamatayan lang hiwalayan natin. Sino man ang mauna sa atin, kamatayan lang makapaghihiwalay sa atin,’” she said.
According to Mommy Dionisia, she prayed for someone kind to come into her life, and she believes Yamson is the answer to that prayer.
The couple, who have a 26-year age gap, said they are unfazed by criticism of their relationship, focusing instead on their commitment to each other.
