Thousands of passionate runners filled the streets of Parañaque on Sunday for the third leg of the Rexona Metro Manila 10 Miler Series 2025, held at the vibrant Parqal Aseana City.
From casual joggers to competitive athletes, participants of all ages and skill levels gathered to celebrate movement, health, and community spirit in one of the most anticipated running events of the year.
While elite runners James Darrel Orduña and Jessa Mae Roda stole the spotlight in the 16K race with dramatic photo finishes, the real story was the sea of determined individuals who showed up, laced up, and pushed themselves through every kilometer of the course. Orduña, who is now a three-leg winner, clocked in at 56:24, edging out Ritchie Estampador by just one second. Roda mirrored the excitement in the women’s race, finishing at 1:05:36—also a second ahead of her closest rival, Edna Magtubo.
“This leg wasn’t just about the winners—it was about participation, unity, and the energy that only live events like this can bring,” said RUNRIO president and CEO Rio de la Cruz. “You could feel the community spirit from the starting line all the way to the finish.”
Beyond the 16K elite race, hundreds more joined the 10K and 5K categories, enjoying a well-organized and fun-filled morning with hydration stations, music, and encouragement from volunteers and spectators. In the 10K, Roy Laudit (32:15) and Asia Paraase (39:36) led the men’s and women’s categories respectively, while Oyam Kerl Espinosa (16:17) and Lezarny Sanita (20:23) emerged fastest in the 5K run.
With its inclusive format, the Rexona 10 Miler Series continues to draw runners from all walks of life—first-timers aiming for personal records, fitness buffs enjoying the cityscape, and families running together for fun.
The six-leg series, organized by RUNRIO and presented by Rexona, has become more than a competition—it’s a celebration of wellness, perseverance, and togetherness. The Parañaque leg was made possible through partnerships with Summit, ION+, Anytime Fitness Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Olympic Village, and Parqal Aseana City.
Next stops for the running community are Makati City on September 14 and Quezon City on November 23, where thousands more are expected to participate.
The event also receives support from sponsors including VYBE by BPI, Vaseline, Selecta, Pond’s, Surf, Dove & Dove Hair, Close Up, Cream Silk, Sunsilk, Clear Men, and Knorr.
