Viva Communications, Inc. has signed a three-year first-look development and production deal with Webtoon Productions to adapt more Wattpad stories for its streaming platform, Viva One, the companies announced.
Under the agreement, Viva One will serve as the home for upcoming adaptations of popular Wattpad titles, expanding on a partnership that has already brought several fan-favorite stories to screen. Viva One currently has over four million subscribers across 90 countries.
The latest collaboration follows the success of Ang Mutya ng Section E, which gained international traction. Other successful titles previously adapted by Viva include Diary ng Panget, Talk Back and You’re Dead, Ex With Benefits, This Time, Your Place or Mine?, and Girlfriend for Hire.
Recent adaptations for Viva One include the University Series: The Rain in España, Safe Skies, Archer, Chasing in the Wild, Avenues of the Diamond, and Seducing Drake Palma.
“This collaboration opens the door to bringing more bestselling and beloved Filipino Wattpad stories to the screen—for fans in the Philippines and wherever Viva One is available,” said Ryan Benitez, development executive for Asia-Pacific and creator manager for Webtoon Productions.

Viva chairman and CEO Vic del Rosario Jr. said the partnership shows the company’s commitment to showcasing Filipino storytelling for a global audience.
The deal was negotiated by Valerie Del Rosario, president and COO of Studio Viva, and Daryl Kho, who leads business development in Southeast Asia for Webtoon Productions.
Webtoon Productions, part of Webtoon Entertainment, Inc., has worked with Netflix, Sony Pictures Television, and other major studios. It specializes in developing TV shows, films, and books based on fan-driven intellectual property from Webtoon and Wattpad.
