Marcos helps bring internet access to Zamboanga schools

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Friday personally visited Camul Elementary School in Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte, to lead the turnover of ICT Starlink equipment and check the school’s internet connectivity.

Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara accompanied the President during the visit.

Four other schools in the province joined the event virtually, including the Marupay National High School, Nato Integrated School, Seroan Integrated School, and Tinago Elementary School.

This initiative is part of the Marcos administration’s ongoing efforts to bring internet access and digital connectivity to grassroots communities. It likewise aims to ensure that no learner is left behind in the digital age.

The school’s students, as well as their parents and teachers, warmly welcomed Mr. Marcos.

The schoolchildren were observed chanting “BBM! BBM! BBM!” while waving their personalized flaglets.

Camul Elementary School has more than 200 pupils enrolled as of July.
