CEBU City— More than 100 participants/stakeholders coming from business, academia, and government sectors are gathered in Cebu , July 30 until August 1, 2025 for the first Quantum Information, Science, and Technology Conference in the Philippines 2025.
The convention was jointly organized by the Department of Science and Technology—Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research Development (DOST-PCIEERD) and the Quantum Computing Society of the Philippines (QCSP) and the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator at the JPark Island Resort & Waterpark in Mactan, Cebu.
The three-day event was meant bring together various sectors to accelerate quantum research and adoption in the Philippines. It features three key tracks including Academia/Education—Advancing quantum education and research initiatives; Business—Driving industry awareness and adoption of quantum technologies and ELSA (Ethics, Legal, and Social Aspects)—Exploring broader implications of quantum technologies.
The affair also celebrates the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology and aims to jumpstart the country’s roadmap in quantum research, education, and innovation, the organizers said.
