GMA Integrated News drew the largest audience for its coverage of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 28, leading both television and online platforms.
The special coverage, titled State of the Nation Address 2025: A GMA Integrated News Special Coverage, aired on GMA and GTV and was anchored by Pia Arcangel and Atom Araullo. It recorded a combined people rating of 4.7 percent in Total Philippines, equivalent to 3.4 million viewers, according to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement overnight data.
In comparison, TV5 and RPTV’s Estado ng Bansa SONA 2025 earned a 1.5 percent rating, while A2Z and Kapamilya Channel’s State of the Nation Address 2025: The ABS-CBN News Special Coverage posted 0.6 percent.
In Urban Philippines, GMA’s coverage reached a combined people rating of 4.8 percent, or 2.1 million viewers, surpassing TV5/RPTV’s 1.7 percent and ABS-CBN’s 0.5 percent.
Online, GMA Integrated News also topped competitors with 16.1 million video views across Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, based on Tubular Labs data as of July 29. ABS-CBN News followed with 4.7 million views.
The network’s SONA 2025 coverage spanned multiple platforms. On television, it began with early reports on Unang Balita, followed by 24 Oras, which highlighted key points from the speech and aired related reports on the Marcos administration.
Additional coverage continued through Saksi, GTV’s Dobol B TV, Balitanghali, and State of the Nation.
GMA Regional TV provided updates through local newscasts, including One North Central Luzon, Balitang Bisdak, One Western Visayas, and One Mindanao.
Online coverage was available via GMA News Online (www.gmanetwork.com/news) and its mobile app, which can be downloaded through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Radio coverage came from Super Radyo DZBB 594 kHz and Super Radyo stations nationwide, including Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Palawan, General Santos, and Kalibo. The reports also aired on GTV through Dobol B TV.
