Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Wednesday inspected the right-of-way sites affecting the Ortigas Station of the Metro Manila Subway Project.
The inspection follows the President’s directive to expedite the completion of flagship infrastructure projects aimed at benefiting commuters.
Dizon said the Ortigas Station is the last remaining right-of-way hurdle for the subway project.
“We are here together to find a solution. Hopefully, after a few weeks, we will finally start construction,” Dizon said in a Facebook post by the DOTr.
Sotto thanked the DOTr and affirmed the local government unit’s (LGU) commitment to expediting the project’s completion.
“We in the Pasig LGU are also looking forward to the subway, so we will do our best to help. We see that everything is moving forward, and the remaining problems are being resolved,” Sotto said.
