TINGOG party-list, in close coordination with the Office of Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez, on Wednesday conducted simultaneous relief operations across flood-hit areas in Metro Manila and Rizal on July 22, delivering 16,819 hot meals to displaced residents.
These efforts form part of TINGOG’s ongoing response to the widespread flooding caused by Severe Tropical Storm Crising and the intensified southwest monsoon.
In partnership with local officials and volunteers, TINGOG served hot meals to multiple evacuation sites, doing the best it can to reach as many communities as possible with immediate assistance.
Hot meals were distributed across flood-affected areas in Quezon City, Marikina, and Manila in the National Capital Region, as well as in Taytay and Rodriguez in Rizal, through the support of district representatives and local volunteers.
“These relief efforts are part of our commitment to deliver immediate assistance to communities in crisis,” said TINGOG Rep. Andrew Romualdez. “We thank our local partners and volunteers for working closely with us to ensure that help arrived without delay.”
Fellow TINGOG Rep. Jude Acidre emphasized the importance of government presence in times of disaster. “We don’t just bring food. There is care and making sure they’re not alone. In times of disaster, our citizens need to feel fast, reliable, and honest service from the government,” he said.
TINGOG and the Office of Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez reactivated their Relief Coordination Desk to support continuous relief operations in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, working closely with local governments and national agencies to ensure timely and responsive aid delivery.
As cleanup operations begin in many of the affected communities and families continue to stay in evacuation centers, TINGOG assured the public that its teams will remain on the ground in the coming days to sustain relief efforts and assist in the recovery process.
