Kris Aquino revealed that she is now battling 11 autoimmune-related illnesses while staying strong for her two sons, Josh Salvador and Bimby Yap.
On Sunday, July 20, Kris shared on her Instagram that she and Bimby were recovering from illness—Bimby from stomach flu, while she was enduring severe pain brought on by the cold weather following a recent typhoon.
“I now have nine primary autoimmune diseases, #10 is a result of the nine, and I have an 11th disease caused by complications. I love my sons, and they aren’t ready to lose me—especially Bimb, who just turned 18,” the 54-year-old TV host wrote.
Now living in a seaside compound outside Metro Manila, Kris said she remains wheelchair-bound and is relearning how to walk. She also said that Bimby would take on more responsibilities, including managing her social media.
Reflecting on her journey, Kris also addressed those urging her to seek therapy.
“I have nothing at all against therapists, but I am very self-aware. My therapy is listening to Christian and Catholic contemporary music,” she said.
