Leyte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez expressed full support for the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub, a government initiative designed to make public transactions faster, easier, and more accessible.
Romualdez commended President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for his leadership and vision, noting that the hub complements the upgraded eGovPH Super App, which consolidates various government services into a single mobile platform.
He emphasized that Filipinos from all walks of life deserve better service when transacting with government agencies. “This is how we bring our government closer to the people—not with long lines, hours of waiting, and red tape, but with real solutions that they see, feel, and benefit from,” he said.
On Friday, President Marcos officially launched the eGovPH Serbisyo Hub at the Makabagong San Juan National Government Center, calling it a major step toward easier and more efficient government transactions.
Romualdez assured his support for the program and pledged to help secure funding in Congress to sustain both the physical hubs and the digital app. “Public servants are duty-bound to think of solutions that will ease and not add to Filipinos’ daily burdens,” he said.
Since its soft launch on June 2, the Serbisyo Hub has already begun integrating frontline services including medical financial assistance, free legal consultation, job‑matching, and applications for clearances and permits—streamlining government support across multiple agencies.
Romualdez’s strong backing aligns with his broader approach in calling on legislators to support open and transparent governance. He previously led efforts to institutionalize public access to bicameral budget deliberations—another step toward government accountability.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), which spearheads the digital backbone of the initiative, is currently working with over 20 national agencies to expand eGovPH’s reach. Future updates to the Super App will include driver’s license renewals, passport appointments, and PhilHealth services.
Romualdez noted that digital governance is not just a matter of convenience but of dignity. “Our citizens deserve not just efficient service, but to feel respected and valued by a government that works for them,” he said.
