Latest SWS survey affirms public ratings rebound of President Marcos

President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. sustained a positive trend in his public trust ratings with a 10-point increase at 48 percent, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey commissioned by the Stratbase Group.

In a report published Monday, the think tank described his rise as ‘significant,’ climbing from 38 percent the previous month. The findings were based on an SWS survey conducted between June 25 to 29, 2025 with 1,200 Filipino adult respondents participating nationwide.

“The significant increase in President Marcos’ trust rating signals a possible renewed public confidence in his administration,” according to Stratbase Group President Victor Andres ‘Dindo’ Manhit.

“He (Marcos must sustain these trust ratings since they are crucial indicators of political stability and governance performance,” Manhit added.

Vice President Sara Duterte also maintained her public trust rating at 61 percent. Former Senate President Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero received 55 percent—plus eight points—while former House Speaker Martin Romualdez also gained eight points at 34 percent from 26 percent previously.

Manhit emphasized the importance of these results in assessing the current political climate and public sentiment. He also noted that trust must be reinforced by consistent delivery of public service—not of personal interests—and a demonstrated commitment to accountability.

“Ultimately, public trust must be earned through transparent leadership, accountability, and a strong commitment to public service,” Manhit said.
