A 27-year-old alleged high-level female drug dealer was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tikay, Malolos City, early Sunday morning. Authorities seized approximately PHP3.4 million worth of suspected shabu.
The operation was carried out around 12:20 a.m. by joint forces from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bulacan, the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the Malolos City Police, according to Lt. Col. Russel Reburiano.
The suspect was found in possession of one small heat-sealed sachet and one large vacuum-sealed sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu. The seized drugs weighed around 500.42 grams.
In addition to the drugs, authorities also recovered the marked money used in the operation. The suspect did not resist arrest and was immediately taken into custody. Rex Espiritu
The seized items have been turned over to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for examination. Charges are being prepared under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
