BCDA to expand Luisita Interchange

State-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), together with public and private sector partners, is set to expand the Luisita Interchange in Tarlac City to connect the Luisita Access Road with the 94-kilometer Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).

The initiative seeks to ease traffic congestion, improve regional mobility, and unlock new investment and employment opportunities in Central Luzon.

“The Luisita Interchange Expansion is a vital step toward unlocking Tarlac’s full economic potential. By improving access to key industrial zones and emerging townships, we’re not just easing travel, we’re enabling greater investment, job creation, and inclusive growth in Central Luzon,” said BCDA president and chief executive Joshua Bingcang, in a recent joint visit with Tarlac provincial officials.

He said the enhancements aim to complete the interchange’s connectivity by adding access for motorists traveling to and from northern Luzon, as the current configuration only serves those heading southbound.

The expanded interchange is expected to significantly reduce travel time and traffic congestion along MacArthur Highway and surrounding roads.
