DigiPlus updates responsible gaming framework

DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the company behind gaming brands like BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, announced updates to its comprehensive responsible gaming framework. The company first established the framework in 2024, introducing in-app self-exclusion tools, player safeguards, and community ambassador programs.

Since 2024, DigiPlus has implemented what it calls the Philippines’ first fully integrated in-app self-exclusion features across its platforms.

These tools allow players to set daily time limits, create gaming schedules or apply loss caps directly within the app. DigiPlus said it combines these features with enhanced electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) processes that include facial recognition, age and eligibility screening, and cross-checks against PAGCOR’s National Database of Restricted Persons.

DigiPlus said it also developed a Responsible Gaming Ambassadors Program, which features personalities such as comedian Vice Ganda and sports icon Kiefer Ravena.

GameZone, one of DigiPlus’ platforms, recently introduced its own Responsible Gaming Ambassadors, selected from its community of players, including winners of the 2024 GameZone Tablegame Champions Cup.

Through its “Tamang Laro, Tamang Panalo” financial coaching series, players receive guidance from licensed psychologists and financial coaches on responsible gaming and budgeting. The “Pusta de Peligro” short film series, aired nationwide, aims to raise awareness about problematic gambling.

Internally, all DigiPlus gaming employees complete mandatory responsible gaming training, which covers identifying early warning signs and guiding players to support.

“As the market leader, we don’t just talk about player protection — we build it, train for it, and champion it alongside our players,” DigiPlus chairman Eusebio Tanco said.

“Since 2024, we have invested in pioneering in-app safeguards, strict compliance, and credible community voices to ensure that gaming remains safe, entertaining, and socially sustainable,” said Tanco.

DigiPlus said these evolving tools, safeguards and peer-led advocacy programs contribute to an industry prioritizing player welfare and social responsibility.
