LPA’s trough brings heavy rains to Bicol, Aurora, Quezon

The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) could cause flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains in the Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon.

These areas may experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

As of 3 p.m. on Monday, the LPA was estimated at 920 kilometers east of Central Luzon, according to the state weather bureau.

Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon will trigger cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the Visayas, Mindanao, MIMAROPA, and the rest of Central Luzon and CALABARZON.

Flash floods or landslides are similarly likely due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

The rest of Luzon will also have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
