Escudero administers oath to Biñan officials

BINAN City—The newly elected officials of Biñan City have formally assumed their posts following a mass oath-taking ceremony held June 27 at the Alonte Sports Arena. before Senate President Francis Escudero.

The incoming new set of municipal officials consisted of Mayor Angelo Alonte, Vice Mayor Jonalina Reyes, twelve city councillors, and barangay chairpersons.

In his remarks, Escudero urged the new city officials to always uphold truth, justice, freedom, and peace in performing their respective duties and responsibilities.

Mayor Alonte thanked his constituents for their continued support, outlining his commitment to enhancing programs in education, health, and sports. 

He also vowed to prioritize initiatives preserving Biñan's cultural heritage and expanding social services for senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and the LGBTQ+ community. 

For her part, Vice Mayor Reyes affirmed support for Alonte's legislative agenda, focusing on reliable public service and improved quality of life for all city residents.

She also highlighted her dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring a just and equitable society for all constituents. She underscored her commitment to collaborating fully with Mayor Alonte in advancing his vision for the city’s progress.

Adding a touch of emotional reflection to the affair was the heartfelt expression of gratitude from former legislator Len Alonte. She thanked the people for the opportunity to serve and expressed confidence that her successor, Arman Dimaguila, would sustain and even expand upon the beneficial programs implemented during her tenure.
