Sunshine Place will hold a six-session watercolor workshop for children starting May 6, aimed at teaching basic painting techniques and color theory.
The workshop is open to children ages 7 to 16 and will take place every Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Topics will include color language, primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, along with painting exercises.
Self-taught artist Jen Consumido, who works across various mediums but specializes in watercolor, will conduct the sessions. Consumido has previously led similar workshops at the venue.
Starter kits containing a watercolor set, brushes, a drawing pencil, a kneadable eraser, a palette, and watercolor paper will be available for participants.
