A photo of Pope Francis is displayed in the Frankfurt Cathedral, near the central Roemer Square in Frankfurt, on Monday, the day he died aged 88, after making a much hoped-for appearance at Saint Peter’s Square on Easter Sunday, the Vatican said in a statement. On Wednesday, it was taken to the ornate St Peter’s at 9:00 am in a procession accompanied by a liturgy, psalms and prayers.
