Local government officials, martial law survivors, civil society organizations, and political activists bask in a shower of confetti as they commemorate the 39th Anniversary of the EDSA Revolution on Monday, February 25, 2025 at the EDSA People Power Monument in White Plains, Quezon City.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led the wreath-laying ceremony with National Historical Commission of the Philippines chairperson Regalado Jose Jr. and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Colonel Ricnon Carolasan.
The EDSA People Power anniversary used to be celebrated as a special non-working public holiday. Malacañang, however, declared it a working holiday this year but schools and other institutions are given discretion to decide on class and work arrangements for this day.
