FAR from his best, William Morrison III still bagged a gold medal in the recent Indiana Invitational indoor athletics’ meet in at the Gladstein Fieldhouse overall in at the Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
The 28-year-old Morrsion hurled 17.88 meters in the men shotput competitons, with Seth Brosseau settling for the silver at 16.69.
Dane Sebert was third (16.39).
In Korea last year, Morrison settled for the bronze medal at the Asian Championship with his 19.22meter performance.
A Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, Morrison III is expected to be back in the country after dominating the outdoor event of the 2024 the Philippine Athletics Championships at the Philsports Complex in Pasig City.
While the Philippines, Morrison tallied a distance of 18.77 meters to clinch the gold medal in this tournament.
