Northern Luzon forces continue relief ops for typhoon victims

The Philippine military’s ongoing relief efforts in Batanes have successfully delivered approximately 205 tons of vital supplies, including food packs, clean drinking water, hygiene kits, medical supplies, construction materials, and other essential items to the province.

These supplies, sourced from various government agencies and non-governmental organizations, were efficiently loaded onto the BRP Davao del Sur (LD602) for transport.

The Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), under the leadership of Lieutenant General Fernyl G. Buca, is steadfast in its mission to support the Ivatans affected by the recent typhoons: Julian, Kristine, and Leon.

This initiative is led by the Naval Forces Northern Luzon (NFNL), under the command of Commodore Edward Ike M. De Sagon PN, through its Task Group “Abot Tulong sa Batanes.”

NOLCOM and the Philippine Navy continue to collaborate with government agencies and other partners to ensure an efficient and sustainable response to the ongoing crisis.

The relief efforts are being carried out in close coordination with the Office of Civil Defense.
