Marian Rivera backs Dingdong Dantes’ political aspirations

In a recent TV appearance, Marian Rivera was asked how she would react if her husband, Dingdong Dantes, considered joining politics.

“Well, if there’s one thing on my mind, it’s the fact that Dong is a good person. He has a good heart,” she said. “For everyone’s information, Dong always helps in his little way, whether it’s his fellow actors or ordinary folks.”

Marian affirmed that Dingdong has the purest of intentions.

“I know that his love is genuine, and when he helps, he doesn’t expect anything in return.”

For the lovely actress, her popular husband is a good role model. “He has influenced me a lot on how to become a better individual for myself and others!”

After starring in Balota, where she won Best Actress at the recent Cinemalaya Film Festival, Marian is looking forward to her next film project. Who are the actors she hopes to work with?

“Of course, my husband Dingdong. There are also my friends Ana Feleo and Boobay. It would also be great if I got to share the screen with Gabby Eigenmann.”

Interestingly, when asked who she would like to portray her villainess in her next film, the actress was quick to reply:

“It’s either Glaiza De Castro or Katrina Halili. If they’ll be my nemesis in the movie, I’m game!”

“It’s been DonBelle for the longest time. I’m their fan,” she reveals.

The competent actress stressed that she doesn’t meddle in Donny’s personal life, especially regarding the girls he dates.

“We manage him, but we don’t own him. That’s very clear. We’re just taking care of him and helping him to be better at what he’s doing to help other people!”

Jillian Ward is very happy that her top-rating afternoon soap Abot-Kamay na Pangarap, which just ended its two-year run, has inspired its loyal viewers.

“Every day, I receive messages from our avid viewers saying that the show inspires them. These are both young and old people. There are even mothers who say that because they got inspired, they would go back to school. It’s one of the lessons that our show imparts: that it’s never too late to reach for your dreams,” she said.

Looking back, the young actress stated that Abot-Kamay na Pangarap exceeded her expectations.

“We started in 2022, and it’s very heartwarming that we lasted for two years. At first, I didn’t expect it to rate, especially since the plot is about a young doctor. But it turned out to be a hit, so I’m very grateful to our viewers for supporting the program throughout its run.”
