Knights play Bombers; Pirates clash with Altas

LETRAN hopes to hang tough at fourth spot even as Lyceum of the Philippines University aims to keep its head above water in the NCAA Season 100 Final Four race as they clash with separate foes in today’s game resumption at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

The Knights have clung to No. 4 with a 7-6 record following a 101-98 double overtime escape over the San Sebastian Stags Tuesday and will continue to stay there if they could hurdle the Jose Rizal U Bombers (3-9) in their 2:30 p.m. showdown.

The Pirates, for their part, blew their chance of snatching solo fourth after falling to the Arellano U Chiefs, 91-86, last week and into joint No. 5 with the Emilio Aguinaldo Generals on even 6-6 marks.

LPU would move up the ladder if it could hurdle University of Perpetual Help (5-8) at 11 a.m.

It was in the same game where LPU forward JM Bravo had a scary incident after he accidentally bumped heads with AU’s Renzo Abiera that knocked the former unconscious.

Thankfully and mercifully, Bravo may end up playing as his 48-hour concussion protocol had passed.

Games Saturday
(Filoil EcoOil Arena)
11 a.m.- LPU vs UPHSD
2:30 p.m.- JRU vs Letran
