The Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict 11 (JRTF-ELCAC 11) held its 3rd Quarter Full Council Meeting in Davao City on Wednesday to recalibrate strategies in response to the resurgence of red groups.
Major Ruben Gadut, Chief of the 10th Infantry Division Public Affairs Office, stated that their focus is also on prioritizing the well-being of former rebels who have transitioned into People’s Organizations.
Major General Allan Hambala, Commander of the 10th Infantry Agila Division, called for a comprehensive review of the task force’s operational structure to enhance peace efforts, emphasizing the need for collaboration among National Government Agencies.
During the meeting, he presented 109 former rebels who recently surrendered, highlighting the commitment to their reintegration and contributions to the community.
“This gesture also emphasized the need for collaboration among National Government Agencies to ensure these individuals actively participate in the region’s peace-building efforts,” Gadut said.
