Yukien Andrada, along with three key teammates, led the San Beda University Red Lions to a 77-60 victory over the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers on Saturday in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 100 men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

Andrada delivered an impressive double-double performance, tallying 16 points and 10 rebounds, powering the Red Lions to their third win in five games.

He contributed six crucial points in the final quarter, including a layup at the 4:13 mark that extended San Beda’s lead to a dominant 72-49.

Bryan Sajonia added 14 points, as the Red Lions secured a share of third place with the University of Perpetual Help Altas, both teams holding identical 3-2 win-loss records.

The victory also served as a strong rebound for the Red Lions following their historic upset loss to Emilio Aguinaldo College earlier in the week.

“I have to give it to the boys for how they played today. They came out swinging. The energy and effort were evident right from the start,” said San Beda head coach Yuri Escueta.

Teammates James Payosing and Jomel Puno each chipped in 13 points
