The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is rushing the completion of the P93.47 million Manila North Road (MNR) improvement project in Bamban, Tarlac.
DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan said the project involves the asphalt overlay and re-blocking of a 1.03-kilometer section of the road, with added road safety component of solar LED streetlights, and thermoplastic pavement marking.
“The repair and upgrade will prevent further dilapidation of this road section which is a vital link between the northern parts of Luzon,” he said.
Meanwhile, the completion of three local road projects boosts the economic development in Barangay Caluluan and Barangay San Vicente in the town of Concepcion, and in Barangay Mayang, Lapaz.
The completed construction of the two-lane road in Barangay Calaluan costing P4.85 million includes the reinforced concrete box culvert for irrigation and drainage system.
