Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was cited in contempt by the House Quad Committee for her refusal to answer questions from legislators.
Abang Lingkod Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano made the motion after Guo earned the ire of legislators by answering “hindi ko po alam (I don’t know),” “I invoke my right against self incrimination,” among other excuses whenever she was asked by the QuadComm on matters pertaining to POGO operations.
As of this posting, the QuadComm has yet to decide on her ‘detention’ until the mega panel finishes its investigation.
Guo is currently under the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP) after she decided not to post bail on the graft charges filed against her.
The Senate earlier requested for her custody, arguing it was the first one who issued a warrant for her arrest. Guo was also cited in contempt by the upper chamber for similar reasons.
