The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has extended the deadline for online voter reactivation, which initially ended September 7, to September 25.

According to the Comelec, this is to allow more Filipinos to reactivate their voting records.

The poll body said there are a total of 5,376,630 deactivated voters.

All Filipinos who have already registered but did not vote in two consecutive elections are deemed deactivated.

In a statement, Comelec said applicants can file for reactivation online, provided they have complete biometrics in the local poll body office where they registered.

The online reactivation filing can be done through the official email addresses of the Offices of Election Officers nationwide, available on the official Comelec website.
