Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil has resigned, according to two separate reports.
Presidential Assistant for Strategic Communications Undersecretary Cesar Chavez is set to replace her.
Malacañang is yet to confirm the information as of this posting.
DZRH, where Chavez spent his time as broadcast journalist, posted about the PCO reshuffle Thursday morning on X (formerly Twitter).
Garafil is reportedly transferring to the Manila Economic Cultural Office (MECO) as its new chief, replacing current head Silvestre Bello. MECO is the Philippines’ relations office with Taiwan.
A report published by Bilyonaryo news also said Garafil and all employees under her wing were “asked to submit their courtesy resignations,” citing a source.
