Manila Water subsidiaries Manila Water Foundation, Boracay Water and Laguna Water spearhead tree-planting activities with their stakeholders in several major watersheds in Metro Manila, Cavite and Aklan. Manila Water Foundation led the tree planting and weeding activity at La Mesa Ecopark in Quezon City, which involves the eradication of invasive plant and tree species disruptive to biodiversity. The team plant 80 seedlings of Yakal, an endemic tree species known for its sturdiness, strength and durability.
