President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has named Negros Occidental Rep. Jose Francisco “Kiko” Bantug Benitez as the new Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Benitez will replace Suharto Mangudadatu, who recently tendered his resignation.
The Office of the President thanked Mangudadatu for his service, with Benitez assuming his new role immediately.
Benitez, who chairs the House Committee on Housing and Urban Development, brings a strong background in education, development, and public service.
Known for his advocacy in digital transformation and education reform, he is expected to guide TESDA in enhancing technical skills and driving economic growth.
