PRO4A’s innovative law enforcement cited

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil has lauded the efforts by the CALABARZON police for coming up with “innovative and modern approach” to law enforcement.

Marbil was referring to the Police Regional Office 4-A’s (PRO4A) launch of P.O.W.E.R. Services Application, the Blue Cops in Mobile Substation on Wheels (BCMW), and the Integrated Patrol System (RONDA).

During a visit to the PRO4A regional headquarters in Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba City, Laguna, Marbil underscored the creation and development of innovative services and strategies as a result of collective efforts of the command’s men and women, along with the supportive stakeholders and the community.

During the program, PGEN Marbil led the unveiling of the BCMW, a mobile sub-station operated by uniformed personnel alongside force multipliers on a 24/7 basis.

The unit can be deployed to any location requiring its presence, such as business areas, alleys, and crowded streets.

The BCMW also functions as a mini tactical operations center in emergency situations, facilitating coordination and communication among emergency response teams. This enhances overall effectiveness and efficiency in managing crises, including natural disasters and other emergencies.

“This initiative showcases our proactive approach in bringing police services closer to the community, ensuring that our presence is felt even in the most remote areas,” Marbil said.

The P.O.W.E.R Services Application was also presented through an audio-visual followed by the Marbil’s ceremonial downloading and testing of the mobile app.

The application, defined as Protect Our Community's Well-being through Effective Services and Response, is a user-friendly internet-based application designed to provide a seamless platform and one-stop solution for emergency requests, crime reporting, filing complaints, applying for clearances and permits, accessing safety tips and guidelines, and facilitating interaction with the community.

“This innovative tool will undoubtedly bridge the gap between our law enforcement efforts and the public’s need for timely and effective responses,” Marbil noted.

Marbil also cited PRO4A chief Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas for “dedication and hard work to build a safer and more secure environment for all,” he said.
