“DIWATA” is an inspiration to the people and deserves to be invited to speak at graduation ceremonies to inspire the youth to venture into business,” said Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino about street food entrepreneur and social media sensation Deo Balbuena, known as Diwata, on his radio program ‘Morning Chill’ on DWAN 1206 AM. Diwata shared that he did not finish elementary school but expressed a desire to resume his studies if given the chance.
He advised students to continue their education, noting its importance in overcoming poverty. Tolentino praised Diwata’s entrepreneurial spirit and revealed plans to invite him to speak at a graduation ceremony. Diwata also disclosed plans to franchise his business, Diwata Pares Overload, aiming for 50 branches. Currently, he has two branches, one in Pasay City and another in Quezon City.
