21 Imus couples say ‘I do’ simultaneously

IMUS CITY—Twenty one couples exchanged marital vows at a mass wedding here organized by the local government’s June Bride Mass Wedding held here on Wednesday, June 19, at the function hall of the New Imus City Government Center in Barangay Malagasang 1-G.

Mayor Alex Advincula organized the nuptials called “Kasalang Imuseño” in collaboration Rep. Adrian Advincula of 3rd District of Cavite while City Hall deputy chaplain Ramil Ilano blessed the newly wed couples.

The couples received pillows, appliances, and monetary gifts from the local government of Imus.

According to the city civil registrar, a total of 527 couples have so far tied the knot in the Kasalang Imuseño program that started in August 2022 for unwed partners, especially those who have been together for a long time but could not get married due to financial constraints.
