Theater company Repertory Philippines will be staging its version of the longest-running off-broadway musical I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.
Serving as the theater company’s first musical for its 2024 season, the local production of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is based on the 2018 version, which modernized the off-broadway musical comedy that was first staged in 1996.
The musical tackles the ups and downs of love amidst a technologically advanced world. It stars Gian Magdangal, Gabby Padilla, Krystal Kane, and Marvin Ong, keeping the original production’s intention of having only all four cast members playing all of the characters.
Helming as the director for the upcoming production is Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, who is also the artistic director for Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical alongside Michael Williams.
The musical will run from June 14 to July 6 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City. Tickets are priced at P1,500 for balcony, P1,500 for loge side, P2,000 for orchestra side, and P2,500 for orchestra/loge and are available at Ticketworld and Ticket2me.
