24 prosecutors appointed to DOJ

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has 24 new prosecutors who took their oaths of office on Monday before Undersecretary Fredderick A. Vida who heads the department’s Financial, Administration and Personnel Cluster.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla welcomed the appointment of the newly hired prosecutors for the DOJ’s National Prosecution Service (NPS) and expressed hope that this will take the department “to a higher level of performance and confidence.”

“With your appointment, we expect greater achievements born. We hope that you will bear concrete accomplishments in the NPS where you belong,” Remulla told the new prosecutors.   

These are Celsa Tinao Faustino, Allana Marie Perido Bawalan, Maria Angelica Joven Hadloc, Aizen Paula Delos Santos Pascual, Angelica Hao Sy, Bianca Mari Bansagan Herrera, Ma. Lara Dominique Biagtan Sanchez, Brian Mey Ramos Tomas, Alyzia Andrea Ellamil Adorna, Christine Plotado Altares, Febie Diana Garcia Gacho-Alvarez, Esteele Vanessa Ann Alcantara, Vincent Junsay Ong, Marriane Gabriel Riganaldo, Danica Diane Cervantes Esteban-Del Castillo, Kathleen Camilee Hortelano Najeal, Ronaldo Aclado Rowenta, Kriska Marna Anzures Buena-Regado, Marco Carlo Saliganan Sana, Jose Alfonso Torre Hautea, Ryan Estacio Leocario, Jo Marie Angeli Poblete Vibandor, Ronald Rae Canes Del Mundo, and Khervy Barbon Reyes.

In a statement, the Justice Department said six of the prosecution attorneys will be assigned to the Office of the Secretary of Justice Prosecution Service (OSJPS).

The rest will be deployed in the provincial and city prosecution offices in Ilocos Sur, Bulacan, Malolos, and Cabanatuan City, among other provincial and city prosecutor’s offices.

“The appointment of these prosecutors will enable the Department to achieve a zero-backlog policy and will ease the heavy workload of the NPS,” the statement said.
