The Philippine Red Cross holds a mass casualty simulation exercise at its Logistics and Multi-Purpose Center in Mandaluyong as part of its celebration of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day. PRC chairman and CEO Dick Gordon and PRC Secretary-General Dr. Gwen Pang underscored the importance of the exercise, based on a scenario involving a magnitude 7 earthquake, with the view of teaching their personnel and volunteers on how to enhance their emergency response, capacity, coordination, and resilience in times of disasters.
