Singer-songwriter Lauv surprised his fans in the Philippines by posting a video of himself lip-syncing to his hit song “Potential” in front of the renowned Manila Cathedral.
In the video, Lauv can be seen dancing excitedly as he mouthed the song’s lyrics, even going as far as lying on the stone walkway.
“LAUV IN MANILAAAAAA,” the artist said in his post’s caption.
Fans expressed their shock in the post’s comment section, with many asking what he was doing in the country and why he didn’t outright share that he was heading here.
The singer-songwriter later shared a post to his fans on X.
“IM IN MANILA AND I FEEL FRISKY,” he said in his post.
Lauv first released “Potential” on April 24, which was the first track he released under the record label AWAL, a global recording business offering deals that gave artists the freedom to retain ownership over their music.
Lauv rose to fame with his song “I Like Me Better” from his 2018 album I met you when I was 18. (the playlist), which had been used in the hit Netflix romcom To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, a film based on the book series of the same name by Jenny Han.
