Vice Gov. Cris Garcia spearheaded the “Solo Parent’s Week” celebrations in Bataan.
The celebration was participated by solo parents from eleven municipalities and a city from the province held at Louis Resort and Restaurant on April 30.
The celebration had the theme “Solo Parent na Rehistrado, sa Gobyerno Tiyak na Protektado!
The event included an open forum and discussions on mental health awareness for solo parents. Participants also shared personal experiences on solo parenting.
The provincial government wants the voices and concerns of solo parents in the province to be heard and addressed.
Garcia was joined in the celebration by Board Member Popoy Del Rosario, Provincial Social and Welfare and Development Office head Maria Cristina Lopez, and other social welfare officers.
