Korean-American actor Ma Dong-seok is planning a visit to Manila, according to former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson. The businessman and politician extended the invitation during a recent trip to Korea, where he met the Korean star alongside boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.
The visit aims to allow Ma Dong-seok to experience Manila and potentially lead to future collaborations.
This invitation follows discussions between Singson and Korean business associates on projects such as filming Vagabond 2 with Lee Seung-gi in the Philippines, a cosmetics manufacturing manpower exchange program, and introducing electric jeepneys.
Singson views South Korea as an ideal partner due to geographical and cultural similarities, recognizing Filipinos’ strong interest in Korean entertainment.
