Actress Bianca Umali chose a meaningful way to celebrate her birthday this year, spending time with the children and youth of World Vision Batangas.
Instead of the usual festivities, Umali visited the Molinete community in Laurel, Batangas. There, she participated in various activities, including picking fresh produce from a farm, sharing meals with mothers (“nanays”) in the community, and even trying out local delicacies.
The day wasn’t just about food. Umali also conducted storytelling and acting workshops with the children, creating a fun and interactive experience for everyone involved.
The celebration wasn’t complete without a surprise! World Vision surprised Umali with a birthday cake and song, further solidifying the heartwarming atmosphere of the day.
Umali expressed her deep appreciation for the opportunity to connect with the community and learn their stories. She emphasized the importance of human connection and understanding in creating a positive impact.
This visit aligns with World Vision’s ENOUGH Campaign, which aims to address hunger, malnutrition, and food security issues. The campaign specifically focuses on providing clean water to thousands by 2026 and helping undernourished children.
Inspired by her experience, Umali encouraged everyone to support the ENOUGH Campaign and help end child hunger. Those interested in learning more or contributing can visit the World Vision website for further information.
