Hit period drama “Bridgerton” returns to streaming with a new trailer for its third season.
While continuing the story of the Bridgerton siblings, the third season will be focusing on Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) as she tries to find a suitor to marry amid the fallout of her friendship with Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) and the return of her dear friend Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).
The trailer reveals various snippets from the show’s upcoming episodes, with most of the cast from the previous seasons shown to be reprising their roles except for actress Ruby Stokes. Hannah Dodd has replaced her for the role of Francesca Bridgerton because of scheduling issues.
The “Bridgerton” franchise is based on the book series of the same name by author Julia Quinn, which has eight novels, with each dedicated to a Bridgerton offspring’s quest to find love during the Regency era. The TV series was produced by Shondaland, the production company behind popular TV shows such as the medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” and the legal thriller “How To Get Away With Murder.”
Season three unfolds in two parts, premiering on May 16 and June 13, respectively.
