The Board of Investments (BOI) recognizes the strategic importance of the IMP Shipyard and Port Services as the first shipbuilding and repair facility registered with the BOI under Tier I of the Strategic Investment Priority Plan (SIPP) in accordance with Republic Act No. 11534 or the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises Act (CREATE) law. The IMP Shipyard was inaugurated on Feb. 23 at the state-of-the-art shipyard facility in the Albuera, Leyte, marking a significant milestone in the country’s thriving shipbuilding industry.
